Hello, we are enVision! We are a group of high school students from Boulder, Colorado who are very committed to community service and we want to use our passion by extending aid to people in need while providing service globally. Recently, we have stumbled upon the perfect instance to do so. Knowing the importance of extending a hand to those who do not have access to the same opportunities as us, we seek to use the privilege that we have for the greater good. The importance of bringing our community together and raising awareness about important issues has been heightened by the current global situation. We believe that people in our age group play a huge role in inciting action, and we hope to inspire other people in our age group and beyond to raise up others, both on a local and global scale.

We plan to fundraise $5,000, which will provide 50 cataract surgeries and 500 health checkups to people in need in Mali. Cataract surgeries only take 1 hour but save the livelihood of thousands. In Mali, the cost of operation for one cataract surgery is about $130 USD per eye. The problem is, the average household income is less than $3 dollars per day and as such most patients who are in need of a working eye aren't able to even get the most standard medical treatment necessary. Although cataracts initially begin small, over time it results in complete blindness in the eye. For such a simple procedure, there is a shocking (60,000) amount of people who cannot afford it.
